Why doesn't Milwaukee have something like this. I've lived in this town for 10 years, and I'm losing hope that I'll ever find the perfect sub. It's been a goal of mine since I moved out of Menomonee, and away from The Acoustic Cafe' [map], home of the best sub in probably the Midwest at least. Everything near here pales in comparison... I'm open to suggestions.
Anyway, Stage Deli has sandwiches named after famous people... I don't know if they have one yet for Katie Holmes' new boyfriend, but I want to take a shot at it, so I can claim it was my idea when he gets famous after that new alien movie comes out next week and they end up making a sandwich after him...
... here goes: The Cruise Bomber (that's his last name I guess)
I suppose this would be like any other bomber sandwich, the bread's not important. For this beast, it's all about the meat, and the cheese (more cheese than you can handle of course...), and it's served in 3 parts, eaten in a specific order, to go with the theme...
1. Aged black angus, smothered with aged cheddar
2. Pastrami, covered in pepperjack (definitely the hottest of the 3 imho)
3. Shaved veal (preferably raw), blanketed with baby-swiss
