Looks like we're going to have a decent season this year, and since last year absolutely sucked, I haven't thought much about my gear in awhile...
Boots: Vans Encore
I've been wearing a pair of Burton Workboots for years, decided to replace them 2 years ago after a weekend out in Steamboat Springs with Jeanne; though they were comfortable, they took a good hour to get on in the morning, and at least 8 times that long to take off after a long day with cold fingers. It's taken 2 years to find what I was going to replace them with:
I found my answer in a pair of Vans Encores, sporting the 'dial-in' boa system which takes about 15 seconds to put on, and after a long brutal day, they take about .3 seconds to take off... I'm really excited to try these out on the hill. [Vans Snow] If anyone needs a pair of used Burtons they're yours, size 11. [Men's Vans Encore Boots]
Bindings: Flow Amp
Bought these 2 years ago, you can use any boot you want with them, and once they're broken in, they're much faster than the step-ins (especially after the step-ins get iced up) [Flow Amp Bindings]
Board: Salomon Amp
No idea why 'Amp' is so common, there's no relation between these and the bindings... This board has been good to me, I've got it all sharpened & greazed up for the new season. [Salomon Amp Snowboard]
Wife
She's actually fired up for the new season too, we're dropping the kids off on the 30th to spend New Year's Eve & New Year's Day at Granite Peak in Wausau, by far the most impressive hill in the area. We're hoping to get out west sometime this year, but I'm not sure how that'll pan out.
Here's to a good Wisconsin winter!
