Moving! & cool stuff

We're to be out of the house by next Friday... we don't know where we'll land yet, but we do know that this time, we'll have cash in hand, and won't have to worry about any contingencies, getting bumped, or bridge-loans.

Life is seemingly hitting me hard from every direction right now, with family, work, side-work, book-work, moving (that's work-work... blech) things, and I haven't been able to spend my usual time learning & blogging... that'll change over the next couple months when I get some of these things behind me.

We're looking around in the Germantown area.  It's close enough to downtown Milwaukee for a reasonable commute, far enough to not feel like city, and it's got one of the best school systems in Wisconsin.  We've got our eyes on one house in particular, but we'll see how that pans out.

Enough of that... here's some interesting stuff:

listible (beta to be trendy) - great idea... now what I want is something similar to Google's Sets, where I can type arbitrary things in and see lists those things appear together on... this would be great for discovering music... maybe someday I'll have time to hunt for such an app, or start to write one myself or something... maybe when alphas get trendy.

xray girl - this has got to be a hoax... but it's fooled people more qualified than myself to determine so, so I'll just say 'holy crap'... and hope to hear more someday.

castle project - I've finally taken some time to look into this .NET framework for IOC/MVC/Rails/etc and I'm very impressed, and looking forward to writing maybe some kind of like... listy app for discovering listy stuff based on arbitrary songs or something maybe...

rex V - regex validator, very slick page & layout

funky truck arizona - Tea Games' latest game is not in the least bit addictive again...
