My Brilliant Ideas...

Let's put Leon's theory to the test...

Brilliant Idea #1:  Electronic Wall Calendar
- Mic
- Speaker
- Touch screen & stylus
- LCD
- WiFi
Nintendo's DS does most of this for $129 retail (granted, I would want my LCD to be at least 7“):
Imagine a calendar/images/alarm clock app that hangs on your wall... put stuff up as audio clips or annotate dates with the stylus... set a recurrence, etc... push/sync data/pics/etc via wifi from your house pc... $349 each... I'd buy 2.

Brilliant Idea #2: 'Community Clips' YouTube & Digg
Extend youtube with the ability to isolate clips of videos, tag them, and let people 'digg' the clips up... What are the funniest/scariest/sexiest/etc parts of [insert movie here]...  User uploads one amateur video of his 2nd cousin Jed ragdollying over the barn... I just want to see the crash-landing... others may want to see the airtime... and of course others want to see grandma jumping off the roof and launching him from the other end of the teeter-totter... let the community decide which 3 seconds of this redneck physics lesson is worth your time...

Major motion picture studios may be interested in putting their movies up, given certain limits of clip duration to view and cut from.  Community-generated movie trailers???

Everyday YouTube users could identify what bits of their movies the community likes, and focus their future content in that direction...

Do you know of anyone creating one of these? I have this idea too and could really use an electronic wall calendar that syncs my pda as well as my husbands.
